This course is three practical sessions in total. Theory will be completed online, and three practical sessions will be carried out. The sessions will run from 9:30am - 4pm, with a 30minute lunch break. You will cover the following: Practical -Welcome and introduction. -Set up work area. -Discussion on all tools and products -Consultation -Bead pick up -Nail preparation/ dry manicure -Nail tip sizing and application -Nail shaping Squoval, square, coffin, rounded, almond and stiletto. -Application of acrylic in three bead method -Filing the acrylic -Application of French reverse -Acrylic overlay -Acrylic Infill -Acrylic rebalance on French -Filing the acrylic -Acrylic soak off and buff finish -Aftercare and retail Theory -Core knowledge (chemical knowledge, consultations, hygiene, contra-indications, tools plus much more) -Health and Safety -Acrylic -Chemical Knowledge -Nail Shapes -Troubleshooting Case Studies Case studies are completed at home. Evidence will be required for each case study. You will be required to submit: 2 x Acrylic extensions 2 x Acrylic infill 3 x Acrylic French 1 x Acrylic overlay 1 x Removal and buff finish On the final session, you will complete assessments on live models. ** To complete this course you will need to have access to: - Laptop/mobile device with word - Internet access - A kit with required items - People who you can practice on A maximum of 4 students will be in the classroom sessions. Models may be required. * Kit options can be purchased from NEA. This course DOES NOT INCLUDE KIT. Alternatively a kit list will be given.
